Today, we’re talking about Granberg user and business owner, Cody Contratto. Mayhem Orchard and Builds is located in Lapeer, MI on ten beautiful acres that Cody refers to as “paradise”. In addition to running the mill, Cody also creates stunning custom furniture and manages his family’s farm.
With apple and chestnut trees, honeybee hives, and the smell of sawdust in the air, Mayhem Orchard truly does sound like paradise.
Even with the day to day work of the orchard and sawmill keeping him busy, Cody has no plans for slowing down. Of course, he’s always looking for ways to increase efficiency and productivity. In addition to his Granberg Mill saving him time because of its portability, he also expedites his wood-drying process by using his amazing kiln, the Nyle L200.
Not only does the kiln dry lumber out in only 45 days, but the temps get high enough to kill any bugs that may be hiding out- a BIG plus in our book!
